EcoInk World has an enormous responsibility to the environment beyond legal and regulatory requirements.

Mission Statement

We in EcoInk World are striving in reducing environmental Risk and constantly working to improve our Eco friendly performance as an important part of our drive to improve the environments.

We continually encourage customers, suppliers and other stakeholders to be environmental friendly.

Responsibility

All Members in EcoInk World, Directors or employees have a full responsibility to ensure that all the aims and objectives of environmental policy are fully met

Policy Aims

Our Aims are to:

• Comply with all regulatory requirements
• Continually improve and monitor environmental performance
• Continually improve and reduce environmental impacts
• Incorporate environmental factors into business decisions
• Increase employee awareness and training
• Reduce our consumption of resources

Products/Services

Every year in the UK alone, over 40 million inkjet cartridges are discarded and end up in landfill sites. Some of the plastics used to manufacture cartridges can take up to 1,000 years to decompose. We are committed to reducing this impact in the following ways:

• Promoting the sale of our Own Brand range of cartridges, many of which contain recycled and remanufactured materials
• Actively encouraging customers to recycle their empty cartridges by sending out recycle bags and reminders to recycle via email
• Promoting and incentivising the recycling of empty cartridges via businesses, school and charities
• Working with our delivery partners who are maximising the use of renewable energy for their delivery fleets
• Working only with those suppliers demonstrating a similar environmental policy to ourselves

Energy and Water

We pledge to:

• Making sure the amount of energy we use is kept at a low and functional level
• Switching off lights and electrical equipment when not in use
• Adjust heating to conserve energy
• Take energy consumption into consideration when purchasing new equipment

Maintenance and cleaning

We pledge to:

• Ensure that cleaning materials and any other materials that are used in our office is as environmentally friendly as possible.
• Only use licensed and appropriate organisations to dispose of waste.

Paper/Packaging

We pledge to:

• Minimise the use of paper in our workplace
• Reduce packaging as much as possible
• Seek to purchase recycled and recyclable products where possible
• Re-use and recycle paper and cardboard products where possible

Culture

We pledge to:

• Involve staff in the implementation of our policies, for greater commitment and improved performance.
• Actively encourage all staff to recycle their rubbish.
• Provide key staff with relevant environmental training.
• Work with suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors to improve their environmental performance.
• Use local labour and materials where available to reduce our carbon footprint and help the community.

Monitoring and improvement

We pledge to:

• Continuing to monitor and update our environmental practices, to ensure there is an ongoing contribution towards making a positive environmental impact.
• Regularly review our policies and any related business issues
